    Symmetrical or asymmetrical analogue sticks?

in Gaming Discussion on 21 July 2020

I can reach each and every button and stick on the dualshock without trying much at all. Everything is in a good place. And I don't get some peoples complaints about default position. Let's say on the dualshock the d-pad and face buttons are in the default position. Than why are so many people complaining about the left stick, but not the right? The moment I move my charakter in a game, I got...

I care enough to see what happens to the charakters and how things shake out. But I would never pay mony for this. Same reason I watched season 2, 3 and will watch season 4 of Attack on Titan. I want to see what happens enough to keep going, but...

SPOILERS The Last Of Us P2 SPOILERS

in Sony Discussion on 08 July 2020

I have quite some problems with TLoU part 2. It is technically impressive and narratively ambitious. It is comparatively bold, daring and for that I have to applaude the developers. They risked something. Sadly, to me, the risks taken do not pay off. The following points are, in no particular order, what bugged me about the game. Obviously, spoilers: 1) Ellies surprise to Joels deeds: I always...

Sony: The Last of Us Part II Sells More Than 4 Million Copies, Fastest Selling PS4 Exclusive

in Sales Discussion on 27 June 2020

DonFerrari said: JuliusHackebeil said: I do have a problem with the themes, but not at all with the violence and its realistic depiction. If a game as story-focused as TLoU2 spends many, many hours trying to teach me a lesson that i got after the first 20 minutes, it just becomes preachy and a bore-fest. I'm not through yet, but up until now, it is by far not as smart or...

Intrinsic said: So you care about the characters, at least enough to see what happens. The gameplay is great, as far as it being a thru person stealth action game. But you will not pay money fr it because it rubs you the wrong way in a way that has nothing to do with the gameplay or presentation bt duet the kinda themes or the authentic, grotesque and even glamorized...

Sony: The Last of Us Part II Sells More Than 4 Million Copies, Fastest Selling PS4 Exclusive

Intrinsic said: JuliusHackebeil said: For sure. The original was hardly divisive. Part 2 very much is. I wonder how many poeple are in my camp: I looked forward to it. Than the whole negativity around the leaks concerned me. So I decided to watch a playthrough on YouTube to see if I like it. I already watched 15-20 hours (hard to tell) and I don't like it at all. So now I won't...

Probably not gonna have kids/my own family and trying to make peace with that

in General Discussion on 22 June 2020

If you feel the need for such things as family, perhaps you are meant to have one after all and just have not found the right partner yet. I dont't know. Maybe you are right and it isn't meant to be for you. And that need you feel is not intronsic but something ingrained by iutside standards. But there are soooo many different people. I once read that most people marry somebody within a 10...

Horizon II - Forbidden West to release 2021

in Sony Discussion on 19 June 2020

I sort of hoped for Horizon to be a launch title. But in the end it does not matter too much. Sony (or Microsoft) do not really need a great first party line-up. There is a group of people, millions strong, that will buy the console no matter what. I even read a while back, that PS5 might end up a bit supply contrained. Sooner more exlusives is better, sure. But it might be good strategy to...

    Grade the PS5 Conference

in Sony Discussion on 12 June 2020

I wished for more long demo playthroughs to really show off the games. R&C did well enough in this department, but Spiderman, Horizon, GT7, AstroBot - I guess we will see those vertical slices soon enough. There were many stand out moments for me. AstroBot Rescue Mission was one of the best games I ever played. And this one now is a pack in! Amazing! I sure hope that Horizon 2 has better acting...

Most hyped game that dissappointed ?

in Gaming Discussion on 07 June 2020

As mentioned by op and others, FFXIII and FFXV were the worst disappointments following the biggest hypes. I legitimately thought that FFXII E3 trailer was gameplay. So stupid. When it came I played the demo and new what it was. But the story is such a letdown aswell. And the charakters - yuck. FFXV - naturally I was hyped for FF VERSUS XIII, but I thought XV carried on everything versus XIII...

I really very much am looking forward to this. What I deem realistic expectations: PS5-design, Horizon 2, next GranTurismo, MLB, BluePoint-game, Insomniac-game, something about backwards compatability (tlou 2, ghost of tsushima, better on ps5) Wishful thinking: News for God of War, Spider Man, Final Fantasy XVI, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2, Ni No Kuni 3, AstroBot 2, dreams...

Xbox Series X's cross-gen approach is robbing players of the next-gen thrill

in Microsoft Discussion on 18 May 2020

I see this sentiment, a perceived contradiction. Microsoft should bring more games. And Microsoft should have no cross gen first party stuff for too long, if ever. But I don't think it is meant in a contradicting way. To me, it could also be understood in this way: people are salty that Microsoft had a lackluster first party line-up this gen. (I also think that way.) Now they do bring quite a...
