I talked about masking Vita sales by lumping them in together with other systems.
I don't think I've interacted with you before, but I'm also not one to engage in console warring in my 10 years here. So that may be why.
Waiting 8 months is far from 'can't wait'. I gave you the benefit of the doubt in the first paragraph where you seem to have either missunderstood, or not read what I said about masking the Vita sales. Playstation seems to be doing well. It's not out of the realm of possibility that this 160M figure is a matter of miscommunication, as the Anniversary site isn't sales figure oriented. However, it now also appears on their their "Business Data & Sales" page, so that seems less likely. Although the date doesn't seem updated. But what is your logic behind fabricating sales numbers for the purpose of enhancing its standing as the highest selling console, and then not state that it is? Btw, Playstation is literally a byproduct of the Nintendo Playstation system being cancelled. You can't talk about PlayStation's history without acknowledging that Nintendo was literally part of it. But as it stands, they don't have a lot of fond memories to mention about that collaboration, do they? |
Just because you came up with an excuse doesn't mean it's valid. Masking Vita's failure is not an excuse for withholding PS2 because PSP was used for that. Vita and PSP were combined and PS2 and PS3 were combined to mask Vita and PS3 failures. In 2018 they were celebrating a huge milestone and gave figures including the PS2, so yes they were undoing those efforts. Also, if they wanted to mask Vita's failure then why give any console sales? Just give nothing like Xbox. I'm not understanding why you think masking Vita sales is an excuse to tell us 155.1 million as of March 2012 and now it's 160 as of March 2012? You genuinely see nothing wrong with that?
As of for the business talk, I don't care about PR because as a business major, I fully understand how inflation plays a big role in higher revenues and higher profits we see in corporations today. Higher prices come with the territory. I'm not saying that's the only reason but you keep flexing PS's business like there aren't tons of layoffs and the business publicly indicted their own employees for being poor with their money. That could have been an internal memory but instead they told the world. You should talk to business people about what type of message is a corporation sending to their employees by publicly calling them out.
As for my post history, now I know you are emotionally attached by resorting to that. Since that's the game we are playing, I want you to know a mod tried this before as well also protecting the PS2 and I had to go to CGI about their bullying behavior. That mod has now dodged that thread like the plague. I don't want the same to happen to you, you can interact with me without trying to assume my intention via my mod history. My mod history is calling out console warriors. You have bias just like me but mods tend to believe they are above such behavior and that's practically what my conversations are with lead mods. Helping them understand you need to expect the same from your mods, so try to reframe from posting about my history and I'll do the same for you. You have an obvious PS bias and it has always shown on this site. Its showing now by you literally defending a company constantly changing their data, that is some how ignored by you?
