I don't think doing well in tournaments will necessarily relate to having more Youtube subscribers unless you're absolutely one of the best. They're two separate things. People don't go to a tournament even assuming their opponents have a Youtube channel, it's just about winning and taking the prize money. Justin Wong is one of the best players ever so of course he's popular enough to have a following, but many of the greatest players never even had a channel. As for Maximilian Dood I don't know much about him but I don't think he ever was a particularly great player? I thought he just made it big as a content creator because he puts out a lot of content and has done for years.
