Pretty much how politics work.  Looking at the ads of course they cannot lie and she did make those statements.  Also with any ads, context will always be left out but she did give her opponents ammunition.  So the party wants a more centrist then a progressive.  Not sure why this would be incredible, there are multiple Dems going for that seat and the party is aligned with someone who is not as far left.  If she truly has the grit then she should be able to overcome these basic tactics.  At the end of the day, if Ohio is really ready for someone as progressive as her, then such tactics will mean nothing.  Since I live in Ohio, she needs to show me that she knows how to work with both parties.  If she is the all or nothing Progressive then she probably will not get my vote.

It's more about the intensity of support against the popular Nina by the Est Dems and what this says about the Est Dems

Progressive ideas are hugely popular amongst voters, much of the reason Nina is doing incredibly well

The Dems will need that grassroots support in the midterms with ideas that inspire voters, if they aggressively fight against popular ideas like M4A to keep the failing status quo it will most likely end in failure for them come the midterms 2022, then potentially many more decades of nothing changing for struggling people, the Est Dems politics of compromise have achieved little in decades, Nina gives people hope this may change, she inspires people to think big and they are supporting her, looks bad the Est Dems are fighting her so hard to keep things the same

The Est Dems are cutting off their nose to spite their face as the saying goes

The funny part though is that those ads play towards her strength.  As a progressive who is as left as she is, nothing within those ads actually is bad.  She isn't a big fan of Biden, big deal.  She isn't a big fan of the current Dem party platform, big deal since most progressives are not.

You keep saying Progressive ideas are hugely popular but the far left find it very hard to actually win multiple elections.  Being popular and winning is something totally different and currently the win rate does not support your position.

I agree that the Dems need that grassroots support since that support is primarily the young.  The thing is they cannot also lose their current support as well.  Progressive ideas are popular but their needs to be balance.  There is still a very strong centrist to American politics, its the reason why Bernie lost again and someone like Biden won.

If struggling people in the US want to see change then they better get out and vote.  Nothing short of representation will move or change anything within the US in a timely fashion.  Why do you believe we see so much support still for Trump.  Because he has a very strong base and the GOP are falling over themselves to try to keep it.  Progressives need to take seats from GOP leaders to show any strength, then need to take more seats from established centrist Dems, then need to win more Governorships, mayors and City positions.  If they cannot do that then they will continue to be just the fringe group.

How exactly is the Progressives going to get something done.  Its not like there is even enough of them to get their own party to move on progressive issues let alone the GOP.  In order to get something done, you have to know how to play the game because you can basically just sit on your hands trying to push policy that has no chance of going anywhere, while that person should be looking at what can actually get through and work hard to make it happen.

Case in point was the minimum wage.  The Progressives were all or nothing for 15 bucks an hour.  Since that had no chance of actually making it they should have settled for 12 which even the GOP was willing to bend for.  They should have come together and brought it up all by itself and push to get it on the floor for a vote.  Instead they keep wrapping such things in huge bills that never going to get through the road block of GOP and Centrist Dems.  In this case do something, get it through congress, let the US get use to the effects, show the benefits and then your next bill has a better chance of success.  This all or nothing BS only just continue to cycle of nothing happening but it makes good political theater.
