After a couple days benchmarking and optimizing my settings for the UK update of FS2020, here she is

At this detail level (and 4K supersampled) it runs at about 5 to 10 fps on my gaming laptop, uses close to 30GB Ram, and I have to fly at 25% sim rate for streaming and processing to keep up. (effectively flying at 30 knots, rest animates at normal speed)

You need well over 120 mbps sustained data reception from Azure to get all the data in in time when flying at 170 knots. Despite my 100 mbps connection, I only get 30 to 40 mbps on average from Azure, sometimes it spikes up close to 100 but mostly limited to 40 mbps max. Hence fly slower for the sim to keep up. Crazy to think that max Stadia quality 4K60 is 40 mbps. Streaming source data is much more expensive!

In totals, a straight line flight from London City to Heathrow (7 minute flight) of which about 60%-70% has photogrammetry data (high detail ends before getting to Heathrow) downloads 4.38 GiB. without photogrammetry (still high res aerial data) the exact same trip is only 0.32 GiB. (max draw distance)

It's amazing that it works, and can look this good on a i7 8750H, 1060, 16GB Ram (and 30GB pagefile lol)

Now to do this all real time, you will need fiber internet, 32GB preferably 64GB high speed RAM, 500 GB nvme drive, 4 GHZ CPU and a couple 3080s to get to 4K 60 fps.

This game just looks outstanding. Yes it needs rog of a PC and maybe some polish, but damn it looks good. On a regular monitor view it looks real.
