Week 5 had few games that were considered toss-ups, so the ensuing records were similar across the board, except for PAOerfulone who managed the feat to be on the wrong side of all five games that were without unanimous picks. Three of the sure wins failed us this week: Kansas City, San Francisco and Buffalo.
In the standings, Chris Hu maintains his lead of two games. Angelus is the biggest winner of the week, up 2 spots. Farsala sees the biggest drop, down 3. Through five weeks, the prediction league has performed on a high level with win percentages above .650 for more than half the participants. The typical mark to reach for the playoffs has been right around .625 (a final record of 160-96), although this will be moot in this year's edition because everyone who keeps playing until the end of the regular season will qualify by default.
Looking ahead to week 6, it gets a lot more challeging again after the two easy weeks we've had recently. Five divisional games are on the schedule and the remaining games provide a few toss-ups as well. The bonus point game will once again not be SNF, because the designated Rams vs. 49ers matchup has lost its luster after Fitzmagic came to town. Instead it will be Chiefs vs. Bills, two teams that both try to bounce back after suffering their first loss this season in week 5.
