But you're the one making an assertion. 

The sun creates mini solar (flare) bombs all the time, which are potentially hazardous to Earth. We are now trying to replicate that ourselves here on Earth.

That means it is upon you to explain how you derived to this conclusion.  I don't want to tear you donw for the sake of it.  But if you're going to make a claim, especially a wild one like that, you can't step back and take umbrage when someone ask you to elaborate.  If you can't explain your claim then don't make your claim.

Are you saying that the sun doesn't create solar flares that are large ejecting explosions that could potentially be hazardous to the Earth? What underlying process allows this to take place? Are we trying to replicate that process?
