Just to add on this: This would be considered a loaded question, especially at a court, something any lawyer worth anything would immediately point out. And as a result, the question would be annulled. Though there is a good answer to that question above: Stating that you never ever in your life have beaten your wife and never would. Any other answer however would be catastrophic as it would give the picture that you beat or have beaten your wife.
