It depends on my money situation, how it stacks up to Scarlett in terms of hardware specs, and what kind of games it has within the first few months. I'm getting a Scarlett on day-one because I want to play the best possible version of Halo Infinite. However, if the PS5 is more powerful than the Scarlett, enough to where third-party games have noticeable, qualitatively better performance on it, I'll get it as soon as I'm able to (I chose the PS4 as my primary earlier this gen because of its superior specs and game performance, before switching to the One X two years ago for the same reason). Or if it has enough games exclusive to it to warrant getting it early, I'll get it as soon as possible. And by "as soon as possible" I mean I'll get it at launch if I can afford it, or come tax time if I can't afford it at launch. But if it isn't blowing me away with superior specs and a can't-miss library of early exclusives, then I'll wait until the first price cut.
