I didn't watch the whole video, but this is the kind of game where it's fun for people as long as they are the ones who are looting and raiding, but quickly turns into the opposite once they've built up notable wealth and become the victim. It's a game with brutal rules and not many people are cut out for it, be it the experience of being raided and losing all progress or being the raider who makes others feel miserable. When the stakes are so high, it's important for people to think hard if they really want to invest the time in such a game.
What was done to the kids wasn't wrong, but that doesn't mean there's nothing wrong with the game. The balance of reward and punishment is abysmal in such a game, so this isn't what I would call a good game.
