Which will release first, Metroid Prime 4 or Final Fantasy VII Remake (full game)?

Yes I do realize that. But they also had a gameplay trailer of the game months before that of a build that was canned and they restarted development pretty much completely. The gaming industry in general has proven that episodic releases which were once big are quite often a disaster and there is only one series I can think of that still pulls it off (A Square Enix series, but they also had bad luck with Hitman so). I just do not see them sticking with an episodic release system. 

Pretty much. I'm not necessarily agreeing with you in that it can't be released episodically, but Square's words from 2016 aren't exactly the most reliable thing either. This can go very much either way imo.
