It honestly depends on the game, something like Bloodborne for example, after the 30 or so hours I put into it, I still felt the judder every time I played, although I wouldn't say it distracted me too much, if at all, whereas a game like Final Fantasy XV I stopped even noticing it after the first couple of hours of playing... the same goes for resolution and framerate, I notice them at first, but in most cases I adapt pretty quickly and then they become non-issues, which is why these things never bother me and I can never understand how they can actually make people miss out on some really amazing games, maybe it's that some people just set their standards/expectations much higher than me, lol.
