Be like. resident evil 2 remake. Announce, show release date and and then release 7 months later.

Don’t be like. Ffvii r. Kingdom hearts 3. And announce 4-5 years in advance. Sometimes even announced before active development even starts.

Actually Resident Evil 2 Remake was announced in 2015, and then not a single screenshot or word for almost 3 years.

But yes, be like them.
Even though I would have preferred some more information, at least I knew that Capcom had heard the fans wishes for a remake of what was my favorite Resident Evil game before 4, and I could stop wasting mental and physical energy speculating and hoping that Capcom would consider it, or mention it to them in surveys, etc.
Even if they ended up cancelling it, at least I'd know that they gave it a shot, and that's all you can really do.

I don't understand why some people can't stand waiting for games to the point where they'd willingly chose to be in the dark for years unnecessarily, rather than to have more information. It seems like a very obvious choice from the perspective of fans, and especially people like us who post on forums like these for the sake of sharing/acquiring more information, but nothing about people's priorities is obvious.
I'd much rather be informed than ignorant about a game's development from Day 1, any day of the week.
