I was thinking about AC, and just realized the strongest system it was ever on was the Wii. Now, I'm not an expert, but the Switch is a tad bit stronger than the Wii, right?
Actually... I think the strongest system it's been on might be mobile. Yeah, how far we've come yadda yadda, pretty crazy.
Anyways, I haven't really played much Animal Crossing, only about 10 or so hours on New Leaf. I enjoyed that time, but then one day I left my 3DS out in the rain (great move, I know) and it took me quite some time to get it working back again, when it did the date was all messed up too, so my New Leaf save was pretty much ruined and I couldn't be bothered to pick it up again.
I will say, one thing I thought the game wasn't good at and they need to dramatically improve is the connectivity with other people. After playing it for some time and making really slow progress, I started to realize I was probably missing out on a bunch of important stuff by not using the streetpass features and such, but really it was all so cumbersome I just couldn't get around to doing any of it. I hope the Switch game makes stuff more seamless, it'd be cool if you could easily walk around in your friends' villages and interact with them in real time or something. Through the internet, of course (I mean, it's Nintendo, you never know).
Other than that I don't know, I'm fine with the franchise. I do have a fear however, that Pocket Camp will be all we get this generation.
