Disappointing yes, flop, not really. By tomorrow it will have made 3 million dollars. Not including the large Merchandise push this past holiday. I personally sold a ton of Batman related merchandise.

 

Like the Cars franchise, the movie does not have to make money for it to be a Billion dollar franchise.
