Remasters are, not counting remakes of last gen games, a great way of introducing new people to great video games (or at least to people who wanted the original version but didn't get to play it).

As with everything in gaming, we've had great remasters (Wind Waker HD, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy, etc.), and awful ones (like Sonic Genesis on GBA and the Silent Hill HD Collection).

I don't mind remasters so much, but I think it's kinda lazy to do it to a game that's not even that old, like Mario Kart 8 or The Last of Us. What I'd much rather see, of course, are remasters of much older games to give them a makeover, and fix their short-comings.

Recently I heard from DidYouKnowGaming2 that Dylan Cuthbert, who programed the original Star Fox, pitched to Nintendo a remake of said game, with blocky-retro graphics and an improved frame rate. Obviously Nintendo turned it down, but I wish they hadn't.

What are some retro games that you'd like remade/remastered (I don't know the exact difference betwee remake and remaster)? :)
