Then they can just imagine I left and am living somewhere else. Sometimes it's better not to know the truth. I'd certainly prefer it that way.

You can't be serious. You ever faced death or tragedy in your life? Or met someone who's loved one has gone missing and who live in uncertainty or what happened?
