For users who still dont get what im saying its like this.
Sony has released the baseline PS4 if you want a more powerful one you buy the PS4k.

MS released the baseline X1. But instead of releasing a more powerful one they have giving you the option of building or buying a more powerful W10 Machine.

One way or the other its still both company's releasing their own games on their own platforms.

orrrrrr......

Sony released the PS4 in 2013 at a time when 4k TVs were outta the price bracket of the average consumer. And at a time when UHD Blu-ray specification wasn't set in stone.

Now, they are releasing the PS4k to allow people that have a 4k TV make the most of it. Upscale standard PS4 games to 4k, allow you watch YouTube, neflix, 4k Blu-ray movies all in 4k on your 4k TV. with the added benefit of making games run better if you have ur PS4k connected to a 1080p TV.

Do you realize that as it stands there isn't a universal easy way of getting 4k content onto a 4k TV that's cheap and affordable unless you get a HTPC?

Don't be shocked that people think what you are saying is dumb.

If you have a 4k TV. you will be dancing with glee for a PS4k. It's extremely ridiculous to take this stance of, well my console doesn't support 4k so why should anyone elses support it. Sony fucked melike a goat. The decieved me. they made a console for 4k TVs and now my PS4 is useless. Just ridiculous.

Trust me tho, if you decide to buy a 4k TV anytime soon. The first thing you will probably get along with it is a ps4k.
