#41 - Mario Kart 8 (WiiU)
Mario Kart 8 is the first HD Mario Kart game and it was also the first WiiU game that I purchased (bought it few hours before I bought the WiiU bundle consisting of all the other games I own). Although I had finished MK7 just a few months before the purchase - playing the game on my HD screen with the new features MK8 had, etc was still a unique refreshing experience. It also marks the first time I had a MK game on a home console since N64 as well so there was a lot of nostalgia. When they announced the DLC - I instantly ordered the double pack so I can have the full collection. Although I'm not a fan of DLC specifically for consoles - I was still impressed with the content. The additional cups and characters were enough for what I wanted in terms of extra content. This is one of the best WiiU games and has become one of my most fav games in this gen so far.
