This is the only horror game on my list, and probably really the only horror game I've ever played that I could really get into, and actually probably one of very few FPS games that did that too, as those two genres never clicked with me very well. F.E.A.R. was just engaging, though. The balance between action and horror and the way each situation was presented as the game progressed was amazingly done. I never replayed this game after beating it the first time, and because that was a long time ago, I don't remember that much - but I do remember the ending had me on the edge of my chair nonstop and was one of the most intense moments I've experienced in gaming. If anything, this would have probably made it far higher on the list if I liked FPS and horror games more.
