At least now people might actually play Xenoblade 1 I suppose.

For such an amazing game it was criminally underplayed back in the day due to Nintendo of America's bone-headed decision to give it a very late and limited release. It always deserved more exposure than it got.

Given the success of Xenoblade 2 I think it may do better in terms of sales if Nintendo do the right marketing

PS: Can I ask you something in English? In this case is better do or does when the subject is Nintendo? Sorry for my bad english :(

"Do better" is correct, you got it right. Your English is not bad at all, I understand you just fine. :)

I'm well aware of Melia's age. Grey hair though just makes characters look like old grandmas.

In many video games with anime art style, there are several young beautiful girls with grey hair so i have to disagree with you about that.

See that's the thing, anime tropes suck in my opinion.

Now Nintendo needs to remake Pandora's Tower, another game which is way underplayed and undervalued.

To echo Leynos, I feel The Last Story deserves it more; that game was excellent and even more overlooked than Xenoblade due to similarly unfortunate release circumstances.

That said I would much prefer a Last Story 2 made for Switch than a remake/remaster of the first one.

Don't deprive yourself of a great game because of a tiny connection that is insignificant and can be read up on in a couple of minutes if you play the games out of order. I've put hundreds of hours into both XC1 and XC2, and the order you play them in really doesn't matter unless you have a severe case of OCD.

But it's correct that the XC2 expansion should be played after XC2, because the expansion sheds more light on specific XC2 characters. But it's also logical to begin with to play an expansion after a main game.

I'm not gonna deprive myself. Just...postpone it for a bit. I would've started XC2 within the next couple of weeks, but with the remake coming out in May it's not that long a time to wait to experience them the "right" way.

Yeah, with XC comming so soon, don't play XC 2 first. It's not like you will spoil XC 1 story THAT much, but they are connected(It is a sequel) and it just loses that tiny bit of magic at the end.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

If this was a general Direct I'd say it was terrible as there were no significant new games announced and nothing I'd personally buy (except maybe Panzer Dragoon) but as a mini that's hopefully just a stopgap to keep us updated on their short term plans and tide us over til a proper Direct around E3 time, it was okay.

They'd better deliver the goods come June though.

I'm sure the moment you typed that, a shiver went down the spines of Nintendo execs letting them know they're on the clock.

That's not Nintendo's game. Besides The Last Story deserves it most. PT was ok but I will always find it funny the official artwork for the main character is stolen Noctis art.

Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower. The famous trilogy on Wii, Nintendo own all of them.

Xenoblade is anime too. Anime tropes is fine if it was well executed.

Eh, why not both? We could have the full trilogy remake on Switch.

To me some tropes are just bad no matter how they're executed.

I was just saying I'd prefer one more than the other; I'm hungry for new games and I already own all three games on Wii so remakes/remasters wouldn't appeal to me personally, that's all.

But Shulk's character is also a trope.

So what if those two are completely reboots?

Shulk's VA, Adam Howden, went a long way towards making him more likeable than a typical JRPG/anime protag, so he didn't annoy me.

And again, I'd rather all new games. I want fresh, exciting new experiences, not retreads of stuff I already played.
