When it comes to treating their fans like crap, nobody does it quite like Nintendo.

You want release dates? Something to look forward to? You want actual new games on your new console? Fuck you. 

I swear they get off on depriving people of what they want.

I'm not sure if the coronavirus has thrown their schedule in disarray, or this would have happen anyways. But yeah, we need a Direct.

I'm not expecting any new announcements until June where I think they'll have a fairly major blowout show.

But I don't expect anything before that except maybe a Xenoblade Chronicles Remaster Direct which provides a date, and possibly more Monolithsoft news.

The coronavirus isn't really a valid excuse as they were doing this silent treatment bullshit long before the pandemic.

I know, but if they have to announce general delays and leave most of the year barren, I can't blame them for just trying to stall for time to try and scramble for whatever they could release.

Well if we disregard third parties, then both the PS4 and XB1 has had similar droughts. XB1 has probably had even worse ones.

There should be a direct in a week or two based on a rumor that has so far been true to my knowledge. Take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully we get something soon.

The virus affected Japan in mid-late January so I think it made some impact. 
Or did you expect a direct in December or something?

And they were quite busy anyway in their third quarter (Oct.-Dec.) with Luigi’s Mansion 3, Pokemon, and the holiday marketing.

Now an employee from NoA has the virus so everyone has to work from home. I know they’re mostly about marketing, building partnerships with other devs, and translating, but how much could they accomplish at home compared to being at their offices at NoA?

Well I have many older titles to play so I'm not really thirsty yet

However I really do want they to release ports of the older consoles

Sad times for Switch only owners who need some more retail titles but I don't think it'll effect sales much. I can easily see  the summer being very quite bar some ports.

Pokemon/Animal Crossing/Mario (everything that's been released so far) will keep hardware going through til the summer.
