They are already making plenty of money on PS and have Sony's Aniplex/Music backing. The money on the table is a fraction of what they get know and might not be enough to compromise what they have now.

It wouldn't "compromise" anything. They'd simply add some extra income from Switch while losing absolutely nothing.

Yes it would: Sony's Aniplex/Music backing.

How would you know that it would compromise their backing on the anime and music? That appears to be a separate entity.

Joker and Persona 5 content would’ve been impossible in Smash Bros. if that were the case.

There's no reason at all for a Switch port to compromise that, just like StudioMHDR didn't lose Microsoft's backing when Cuphead came to Switch, or Platinum Games didn't end their partnership with Nintendo when Wonderful 101 went multiplat.

They are not. Its simply an advantage of having a company with different arms. If Aniplex and Sony Music back away from Persona after Sony PS loses exclusivity then thats a serious consequence for Atlus. Business partnerships are a thing.

Your smash conclusion is plain wrong. Atlus owns Joker.

Microsoft is not Sony, and Cuphead is not Persona lol

Persona is a mulltimedia franchise with concerts, album releases and anime. MS is also willing to put all their games on PC while Sony is not. Completely different scenarios.

So what’s going on with Horizon Zero Dawn then?

Thats different. PlayStation isnt completing with pc thats why you will never see horizon coming to xbox or nintendo. Anyways persona 5 is almost 4 year old now so i dont think it would sell well on the switch if they decide to port it over

There is no reason why a Switch port would have any impact whatsoever on music deals. Kai Mao is right, they're separate entities, and Sony does not own Persona. Seems to me you simply don't like the idea of a Playstation exclusive appearing on Nintendo and are grasping at straws, to be honest.

You must admit that it been 4 years that Persona 5 is out and it is still not on Switch. Not looking good for a port. But you can always hope. We never know.

So? MS put all their games on PC and like the other poster said, PC is not the same as a competing console.

Literally every single one of your analogies has been wrong.

LMAO, Aniplex and Sony Music are owned by Sony, who also owns Playstation.

If you want to continue begging for a 4 year old port for years to come instead of actually playing the game thats on you. I'm just showing potential reasons.

I never begged for anything. JRPGs like Persona are not my cup of tea, and if it did come to Switch I wouldn't even consider buying it.

But the claim that a 4 year old Switch port of Persona 5 would compromise a Sony music deal is just absurd.
