I've seen people suggesting Biden might have been planning to say that line of "all men are created equal under God", but then may have stopped on purpose because Dems and talking about "Man" or "God" is something they tend to avoid for their own reasons.

Maybe, maybe not. Even if he legitimately couldn't find the words, Biden's losing it, slowly but surely, and based on how much Trump get's bashed for what he says, Biden has it coming unfortunately. Trump supporters are going to tear into Biden the same way Trump has been, and I don't see Joe being able to explain it away or brush it off as well as Trump does.

Do you actually believe that BS?  He said, "We hold these truths to be self evident, all men and women were created by....you know , you know the, you know the thing.".  How does the Declaration of Independence start [you know....the thing]? "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." 

It doesn't say "God".  And even before the mention of a "creator" are the words after his blunder, "....equal, that they are endowed by their creator." 

So even if he wanted to say "God" rather than "Creator", he failed to get far enough into the passage to do it.

He gaffed.  Period.   And it's painful to watch people trying to come up with lame excuses for how or why he gaffed.

Now I'll give you a pass because you're Canadian rather than a US citizen.  It's not fair on you for us to expect you to know the preamble of the Declaration of Independence verbatim.   But I damn sure expect my president to.

Though in today's climate, specifying "men" when woman should be included, is seen as a problem by one side, as well as religion in general. "God" or "Creator" is just a different word for the same thing in that instance, which tends to get avoided by one side if possible as well. That's why it would still make sense that he could have attempted to avoid it. Maybe he didn't, totally possible, but the loss of words isn't much better, when taking into account how often that tends to happen, along with using the wrong words or numbers, more and more often.

Verbal communication is huge for a President, which is one of the reasons why Trump won his election, ironically some would say, so Biden is going to have a really tough time against Trump in this respect. That's not to say Biden doesn't have other qualities that some will prefer over Trump.

The preamble as it was written:

So again, if he was trying to say "God" it was wrong to begin with.
And if he was trying to replace "God" or "Creator" with something else....he wasn't even at that part of the preamble yet.  That's 7 words later.

Fun fact: My cousin wrote the DoI. He was 33. Talk about making me feel like slacker.

So to be clear, you're saying the clip doesn't show the full sentence? I saw another short clip earlier, showing the same thing, which is why I assumed that was it. He goes on after the fact and finishes it? If that's the case then the avoidance of certain words wouldn't make sense here, and only the poor verbal communication in general.

Do you remember Trump in the debates with Hillary? He was absolutely terrible. You think that Biden lacks the ability to complete full sentences? Have you every by chance heard Trump speak? The dude is completely incapable of creating a coherent sentence.

While Biden has not been very good in the debates, he has overall been good enough. Even with his issues, he hasn't really suffered at all.

That said, if you think that this stuff is a bad look and will hurt Biden in the general, whatever, you are entitled to your opinion, but if you honestly think that Biden is honestly a pedo with dementia, like, fuck off.

You may not like Trump, his policies, or how blunt he is, but there is no question that he is still all there in his head.  Biden is slipping.  He is not the same Biden from 2008/2012.  He has had several instances where he forgets what state he is in.  Thought he was still Vice President during the Parkland shooting in 2018.  He couldn't remember a simple, often repeated line in the Declaration of Independence.  And his reaction to the latter is VERY telling.  Anyone who had a brain fart would have laughed it off and either tried it again or moved on.  Instead you can see that he frustrated by his inability to remember it.  And it wouldn't have been a big deal if he didn't get it word for word, but he couldn't even get it remotely close and after a few words just gave up and called it "the thing."

And I have no idea about being a full on pedo, but there is one thing that can't be denied, Joe is creepy.  Before he jumped in, even the Left media were bringing it up, basically asking him not to run.  He has an obsession with touching and smelling women/girls' hair, regardless of age.  That's not just an accusation.  He has been caught on video doing it numerous times.

Oh, no, sorry. He doesn't finish it.  I merely added his gaffe into the full text so you can see where it was in conjunction to the word "Creator".  And to show how brief it is.  It's not hard to learn it. 

Well whether he was aware enough to know "Creator" was coming up in a second, who knows. Either way, wasn't good for him regardless. Thanks for clearing that all up.

Trump is "all there" like my bank account is "all there". Sure, there isn't much missing, but what you have doesn't amount to much.

As for diagnosing people from a few clips on the internet, I'm not about that business. I am not a doctor and if I were I would know well enough that that is a path that generally shouldn't be walked. Most of Joe's horrible, unforgivable gaffes are mistakes that I can see myself making. I have forgotten things that I intimately know when in a public speaking situation. I have misspoken the day of the week. These aren't telltale signs of anything but fairly simple mistakes that normal people regularly make, especially when they are stressed out and sleep deprived like I wouldn't be surprised if Biden was.

Again, argue all you want about whether it is a good look. That is your opinion and you are more than entitled to that. Just, going all the way to "Joe has dementia and is a pedophile" is a ludicrous leap.

It'll be a sad star for the world if Biden and Trump are debating for ruling the biggest or 2nd biggest economy in the world. Seriously the world keeps disappointing sane minded people. Netenyahu, Modhi, Bolsanaro, Boris Johnson, etc. And then 2 people with clear mental decline who might not even have the brain capacity left to lead a country being the only 1 viable candidates? That will be a sad time indeed. I hope the Americans have more sense and vote for Bernie Sanders in the primary and generals, though it does show you where manufactured consent leads you. I didn't think manufactured consent was bug enough to let Joe Biden even be a really serious candidate but it seems to have worked on Super Tuesday. What Biden or trump are gonna do to make anything better is beyond me.
