All of the establishment gas rallies behind Joe Biden

All of the dropouts endorsing Biden is one thing. Another is Warren staying in the race even though she knows that will prevent Bernie from winning. And she was supposed to share his views.

Biden most likely won't beat Trump but it doesn't make that much of a difference anyway. Another victory for the establishment! Wahooo!

I hope all of the other distractions bow out. I'm looking at you Warren, scumbag Mike bloomberg and Tulsi Gabbard. I'm not sure at this point that Warren will endorse Bernie but it will gain her some of the integrity she has lost as a progressive in these past few months.

I'm happy that California made the right decision. The south was expected but Texas and Massachusetts and Minnesota disappointed.

I just want Bernie and Biden alone on the debate stage and then everyone can see how bad Biden is and get some idea of how trump will decimate Biden in the general. Bernie needs to go all out now. No more "my good friend Joe." All of Biden's terrible policies need to be laid bare and when he has to answer for them, he will mess up because he can't form coherent arguments anymore. Honestly this is a man who's mental health is declining. How anyone can vote for someone who might not even have enough brain power left to do anything as president is beyond me.  But all the distractions need to drop out tomorrow.

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

As a conservative, I'd much rather have someone like Biden as president than Bernie, so I guess I'm happy with the outcome here? Really shocked he is ahead in the delegate count right now. I figured Bernie would be leading slightly after today. Either way I can't see how they won't have a second round of voting with super delegates as I think Bernie will have a good amount more delegates this time than he did in 2016, when he also took a while to concede. Unless Warren quits before the next race and endorses Bernie, then his numbers will skyrocket for the remaining primaries.

Bloomberg just suspended his campaign:

And with that Biden wins. Even if Warren dropped out today, there are more democrat votes (so far) than Democratic socialists, so if that holds true Biden should win the majority of the remaining delegates. And even if it goes to a round two, there is no way the super delegates are going to side with Sanders over Biden.

I figured the moderates were too selfish to all back out and endorse Biden so rapidly. I stand corrected. I can't imagine all the behind the scenes power plays that happened that none of us just saw. Deals made, perhaps VP spots offered to Bloomberg to get him to drop?

In one week we went from Sanders going to lead delegate count at the convention to Biden going to lead the delegate count and win the whole thing. Amazing turnaround, absolutely amazing.

If I was a Socratic socialist I'd be ticked off right now beyond belief. If I was a democrat is be happy.

All the Bernie Bros better be ready to back Biden if/when he wins the nomination...

Its not the outcome I asked for, but I'll vote for him in a second if you give me the choice of him or Trump.

Choosing Biden over Trump? Yikes... just yikes..

The guy is a pedo and he has dementia..

Not sure how Dems don't see it, but Trump will crush Biden at the debates. It'll be funny and sad at the same time. It's obvious that Biden is starting to lose it mentally. Forgetting things and not being able to complete full sentences/thoughts sometimes. Then, you have all the creepy stroking and smelling of little girls' hair that can be played in ads. Not a good look.

Do you remember Trump in the debates with Hillary? He was absolutely terrible. You think that Biden lacks the ability to complete full sentences? Have you every by chance heard Trump speak? The dude is completely incapable of creating a coherent sentence.

While Biden has not been very good in the debates, he has overall been good enough. Even with his issues, he hasn't really suffered at all.

That said, if you think that this stuff is a bad look and will hurt Biden in the general, whatever, you are entitled to your opinion, but if you honestly think that Biden is honestly a pedo with dementia, like, fuck off.

Not that I would call him that as I am not him nor his doctor so I have no idea what is going on with him, nor is it my business to know if he had a diagnosis, but how exactly do you justify his smelling of girl's hair, doing awkwardly long hugs with women when they are trying to break away (Hillary Clinton), and creepily and firmly holding on to women's shoulders while he leans forward to whisper in their ear? How does someone justify that kind of behavior if he doesn't have issues going on?

It's one thing to say creepy things (Trump). It's another to physically do them repeatedly on live TV.

My ex-girlfriend's grandmother would basically force me to kiss her every time she visited even though I was uncomfortable. Was she a pedo sexual predator or just an old person? Like, old people do that shit all the time. It is weird? Sure, but we have a President who has been accused by, what, twenty women of rape, sexual assault or sexual harassment and you want to talk to me about long hugs? Come on...

This shouldn't be a conversation given that context.

I believe in innocence until proven guilty with everyone. With Biden I've seen video of him doing weird things. With Trump we only have audio (that I'm aware of at least) and even that was to another man about women, not to a woman directly. So, because I believe in that principle for all people, I have to judge things based on what has physically happened for us to see. I've physically seen Biden do creepy physical things. I have not seen Trump do creepy physical things to people.

Trump may very well be guilty with all twenty of those women, or not. I can't judge that as I didn't see any of that nor was I there when they apparently happened.

I would hate for someone to accuse me of something and people just believe it. That would be incredibly terrible.

As we are talking about a non-courtroom setting, I don't believe that this standard is reasonable. To only rely on clear and overwhelming evidence is to handicap our ability to process data and our ability to come to nuanced conclusions.

Say you have a babysitter for your kids. This babysitter has been accused by another individual's child of sexual assault. No one else was around and that case cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt because there is a lack of physical evidence. This is exceptionally common in sexual assault cases. Do you continue to leave this individual alone with your children? I believe any reasonable individual would at least have some very serious reservations.

As such, what do we do?

We would utilize all of the information available to weigh the possibility of both options being true, while also considering the effects of both conclusions. We need to understand that there is often not a 100% sure option available, and there are repercussions to both conclusions, whether they be true or false. (You also need to understand that to hold all individuals innocent until proven guilty, is to believe the accuser and the accused, which creates an inherent contraction).

So, how do we apply this to Donald Trump? Well, one we need to weigh the testimony of twenty five women against the testimony of a habitual liar who brags about sexually assaulting women. How great are the odds that at least one of these accounts is true? I would put it well above 50%, but that is just me. Then we need to evaluate the repercussions of the two conclusions. I'll let you do that on your own.

But the grand overarching point is that someone who is 50% likely to be a rapist and brags about sexually assaulting women is significantly more dangerous than my ex's grandma or someone who gives long hugs, to the extent that the two are not even comparable.
