The overall UI is great and responsive and the Guide makes getting around much quicker and easier than any other console UI my only gripe is with the "My Games & Apps" area it's gone from:

Scrolling down to the tabs > then pressing RB/LB to scroll through install and Not installed

Now:  Scrolling down > clicking on either Full Library or Manage > scrolling right 1 or 2 times depending on which part you want to access > clicking on the one you want to access > clicking on "All Games" > scrolling down to Installed or Uninstalled > clicking on said option.

There is now so many extra layers of action required to get to the same areas as before and after accessing each area there is now also more backtracking to get to one of the other options, I really don't what what their intention was with the update to Games & Apps.

Yeah I like the dashboard, I have no issues with it except the "My Games & Apps" change, Idk why they did it.

My thinking exactly. Judgment is the only eh Gears title, while for Halo well you know the varied quality of the campaigns and some of the levels. Halo: CE is my favorite Halo campaign and a couple of the later levels are not great.

I haven't played through the Gears games in a while, so I will need to play them again. But I remember Gears 2 being my favorite of the original trilogy.

Yup, can't really argue with it Tbh, Halo has 2 average mobile spin-offs, a remastered collection which was broken for years, the awful Halo 5 campaign, I'm not even that much of a massive fan of Gears so I wouldn't typically be interested in spin-offs for it, hence why I didn't buy Judgement but Tactics looks so well done that I'm likely going to buy it.

Hope in the future 343 is more like Bungie when doing spin-offs but they first have to release a mainline title which has both a good campaign and multiplayer, instead of one or the other.

Game Pass does mean you can play all those games day one for "free." I know it is technically $10 or $15 per month, but with Microsoft rewards I got 3 years of Ultimate pretty much for nothing.

Sega is doing a good job with Yakuza on Xbox

Yakuza 0 is only $20.

I saw that, good on Sega for not being foolish and trying to sell a late port at full price. Wish that Square would copy them, their recent Kingdom Hearts collection pricing is outrageous, I think they're charging $110 for a collection that is $50 on PS4.

@Poll - Halo > Fable > Gears of War > Forza > Age of Empires.

As it's Megablocks I wouldn't read too much into it but it would be cool if Infinite has something like this, looks like a portable armoury.

Halo > Fable > Forza > Age of Empires >>> Gears. Gears is the only one I don't like, the other 4 are all very close to one another, all 4 of them have at least one game on my top 20 games of all-time. Multiple Halo games, Fable 2, Forza Horizon 3 and 4, and Age of Empires 2.

No way I am watching this, I'm going in as blind as possible but I'm listening to the music in the background, it's so good.

  • Three times larger than Blind Forest
  • Game influenced by Zelda
  • Soul link save system has been removed
  • Side quests
  • Spirit shards (similar to hollow knight)
  • Escape sequences are back
  • Large boss fights with multiple phases
  • Race trials
  • New mode called "spirit shrine" (fight against waves of enemies)
  • No comment to switch version

So what did they replace it with? Menu saves and checkpoints? Just checkpoints? Hoping for a fully modern checkpoint system where you get an instant respawn on the last platform you were standing on for platforming related deaths, as well as a checkpoint system for combat related deaths. The old save system was one of the few things holding the first Ori back from true greatness imo.

Replaced with auto-saves, Idk about menu saves.

Halo > Gears > Fable. I've never cared for racing sims and I've never played Age of Empires before.

Major just said that quick resume works even with system updates.
