I like the way that Stardew Valley uses some foods to enhance your skills, like espresso to increase your speed. I think some food that could increase your ability to catch rare fish or to have better speed when catching bugs could be a nice addition. But I would never want to have a health bar of course.

They could add cannabis and alcohol to the game as well. It is an island paradise after all.

Realism =)

Ok folks, this countdown is getting serious.  From here on out, as best as I can, I will be providing a discussion promopt along with the days remaining until launch.  We have plenty of time 'til release, so let's try to keep the responses focused on the prompt so we have plenty to discuss over the next 25 DAYS?!?!?!

Today's Prompt:

What was the first Animal Crossing game you played?  If this will be your first time experiencing the game, make sure to let us know that as well.  Let us know what year it was, what system it was on, and how you enjoyed your experience.

My first Animal Crossing was New Leaf. I played it every morning for a year straight, for an hour. At the time I was taking an extended break from videogames to focus on Trading Card Games (huge mistake!). The TCGs were insanely frustrating. Broken cards, horrible designers, etc. My hour of AC was all the gaming I got for that year. De-stressing from Animal Crossing every morning helped me keep my sanity during that time.

What I really liked about AC was how it could just be played for an hour or so a day. The longevity of playing the game year round, just really enforced the sense of community, as well as how memorable the game was.

The sentence below is false.
The sentence above is true.

Currently playing Skryim modded to hell and back.

Weed would allow you to catch bugs and fish better. Alcohol however would only allow you to chop down trees quicker with side effect maybe cut it down wrong and hurt yourself.

Today's Prompt

With just 18 days left to go until Animal Crossing: New Horizons launches I thought we'd have a discussion about age.  Mainly, at what age did you play your first Animal Crossing game?  Did you ever resist the game because you thought it seemed to kiddie?  Were you actually too young to grasp some of the concepts at first, but were still drawn to the colorful style?  Have you ever gone through periods where you just felt like you outgrew the game, and if so, have you returned to the series or are you returning for this new entry?  Ecentially, let's discuss your interactions with the game from an age perspective and how that has affected your enjoyment of the game.

I think alcohol should make talking to other animals more animated and entertaining.

Weed should make the character have sudden moments of giant !!! before zooming in on something completely irrelevant and describing it in detail and what could be done with it.

In ultimate 7 (I think) you could eat mushrooms and some of them would make the world distort and be ultra colorful (some would kill you, too). I think it would be a great mod for someone to put in where the entire colorscape of Animal Crossing was turned into a psychedelic fever dream. Your animal neighbors could even turn into spirit animals and you would have to talk with each of them to find out which one was yours.

getting closer and my daughter keeps asking me about this game and the special edition switch
