I have never played an Animal Crossing game before. What's the franchise like? I'm considering trying it out sometime. :)

That's a relief, though it still remains to be seen if it'll be good or bad DLC, if the base game is incomplete without it.

It's a chill and relaxed life sim, there's no pressure to do anything, no goals or objectives really, just whatever you wanna do. Not for everyone of course, so as with anything, you should look at it and decide for yourself if you want it.

To me it is a good idea to put out DLC for Animal crossing if it's like the previous DLC Nintendo has put out. Which i mean like an expansion pass of things coming out over a year or more that the developers are working to add to the game. Knowing they only make like an animal crossing game every 8 years, i would be happy to know it will still be supported for a year or so with new content. Like to me this is the perfect game for DLC. It needs to be significant enough and not just new outfits and furniture tho but we'll see.

DLC events would be awesome. Also, it would help kill off time travellers. Although, it might not fix all exploits that contributed to ruined online in previous games.
