I really enjoyed the book of Eli as well. Something I missed though, was he blind?
well Eastern promises def. was not a "B" movie. it was an excellent movie though!
oh and i am seeing journey 2. getting popcorn right now.
I know, I disregarded the thread topic because I never watch B movies...except The Room
i did not watch the room, it's not true! it's bullshit! i did not watch the room, i did naaawt! ..oh, hi Pezus
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
I watched Food inc. last night. I already knew about the subsidized corn over production and bad treatment of mass produced animals, however I didn't know about the horrible working conditions in slaughterhouses and the grip patents have on farmers.
It is now illegal to re-use your own seed as patented seed might have blown in from neighbouring fields and you'll get sued by Monsanto burying you in legal fees before you ever get to a judge.
It was also interesting to see how the big corporations keep as much information of food labels as possible.
I already prefer buying locally produced vegetables and fruit, I guess I should pay more attention to where the meat comes from too.
I actually really enjoyed the first movie. Anyone see Wrath of the Titans?I read a few reviews that said it was a little better than the original, but that was not saying much. What did all of you think about it?
I haven't seen the new one, but I thought Clash Of The Titans was pretty decent. Don't understand why it's so unliked. :P
With that said, I'd like to mention a movie I found on youtube. It's a full legally free movie, It's called "Fantasy Mission Force" and Jackie Chan is kind of in it.. In about 15-20 minutes. It's about a squad in world war 2, going to free some hostages.. And on their journey, they are captured by Amazons, Sleep in a haunted house where ghosts, which are controlled by wizards, set out to scare them and they are attacked by Japanese soldiers driving Impalas... With nazi signs on the side..
It's pretty crasy. And the comments on it are great :P If nothing else, it's such a damn weird mix of genres (drama, war, comedy, horror?) that it's at the very least worth checking out.
Hummm, I haven't watched that many Jackie Chan movies to have a favourite...
Last "B" movie I watched... since I don't watch a lot of non-anime-movies it would be one of the many stargate movies or... well thats the only movies I still have on my HDD so yes... these would be the last B movies i watched...
Last "B" movie I watched was Killer Klowns from Outer Space... never gets old! And never saw any Jackie Chan movies other than Rush Hour 1 and 2... personally I think him and his movies are way overrated.
For the past several years I could hardly give a crap about most new movies these days, but I'm hyped as hell for two really big ones coming out later this year, Prometheus and The Hobbit. It'll be the first time I step foot inside a movie theater since Toy Story 3.
