The tie ratio grew to over 19. The eShop summer sale that began in late July and lasts until mid-August provides a good chance to crack the fabulous 20 next month.

19 18 Arcade Archives: Vs. Super Mario Bros. 5 - 5 - 5
19 NEW Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker 5 4 1 80 5

As usual, there's hardly any movement in the top 10 because those games consistently gain similar amounts each month. This summary's exception is Kirby Star Allies which was a no-show in July and had to make room for Snipperclips. Donkey Kong Country's rise pushes a trio of games down the table while Labo benefits from not being completely dead yet. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker has an okay debut at the bottom of the chart.

There's no first party release that I know of in August, so this is the second time after January that a month is empty in 2018.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.
