lol they shipped another 50k MH3 in Japan even though it just at a million according to famitsu/vgchartz. Did they overship the stand alone unit THAT much? One thing i did notice about famitsu numbers though is that they said only 1,050,000 shipped even though capcom is saying 1,150,000.

Likely they way overshipped Bionic Commando. Lets face it, 700k isn't actually all that high for supposed a large important multiplatform game from the largest and successful Capcom.

A lot probably sold in bargain bins at peanuts. And while people may say that Capcom gets all that money anyway cause they sold to retailers, they won't. A lot of contracts are set up with claw back provisions where if the price gets lowered and retailer sell at a loss, then Capcom has to compensate them back for the loss.

yea they overshipped, the price dropped extremely fast everywhere. I still kinda doubt after all this time there is that many on shelves though. Capcom's expectations were 1.5 million so 700k is pretty bad, yet many of us were expecting it.

Resident Evil 5 came out in March 5/13 (JP/NA&EU). These are sales from April 1.

I wonder if the full report has PC shipments of Resi 5 specified, since the chart in the OP seems to indicate that those 850K between 1 April and 31 Dec are for PS360 only. I doubt it's more than 3-400K for PC.

The reviews have hurt both games, Capcom should understand that HD gamers are simply too aware.
