But there was no ATB and so many different items and accessories to help people survive.

You're limited to really one (or is two?) accessories and enemies do tons of damage. Barthandelus' Thantosian Laughter was powerful as hell, its difficult to survive that.

You would need sentinels, and a LOT of Fortisol, Aegisol, and Deceptisol for NC.

You won't beat him in chapter 11, unless you do the Death trick and have massive amounts of luck with it.

It's just that you don't have enough HP to withstand the onslaught of him and his picochus. 

Death is unlocked in Chapter 12.

Oh, and I don't like the Stage 9 crystarium. It's only two abilities max per each character!

Actually, you unlock Death (Crystarium level 9), after defeating Barthandelus on Oerba, so technically it's still chapter 11 xD 

Whatever, it's not like anyone in their right MIND would go from Oerba back to main Gran Pulse.

Then I guess i'm not in my right mind because I beat Barthandelus, then decided to try to find the last peice for some robot in Oerba and ended up finding mission 55. Afterwards I headed back to main Gran Pulse.


I am deterimined to beat this fucker and get my Growth Egg and I won't give up until I have it!!!

In NCU (No Crystarium Usage) you can only have two accessories (which I believe you start out with as # of slots).

It's best saved for HP and damage reduction methinks.

It is impossible to play FF XIII with no crystarium. You would get slaughtered.

Should have farmed them back to max at EVERY given opportunity.
