I guess I need to be strong enough to kille them

I really want to get Lightnings OMEGA weapon!

You can try the Death trick on them, but you'll use tons of TP. The best way to farm Adamantortoises is to go back to Eden, to the Adamantortoise at the foyer before Edenhall. There's a Save point there right next to him, so you can save, reset and load. It's faster than doing the ones on Gran Pulse.

To kill them with Death, equip a Belladona Wand on Vanille (or Malboro Wand, for improved Debilitation II) and the Espionage or Infiltration (SAB/SYN/SAB or SAB/SAB/SAB). Enter the fight and instantly summon to knock down their legs. Skip forward very fast through the animations and final gestalt attack and when your party gets back, spam Death. Should he rise up, simply Restart.

You'll need to recoup a TP point, so you'll need to farm off the soldiers nearby. Repeat the process with the Adamantortoise until you got 0 TP. Use an Ethersol. Should you be out of Ethersols, buy an Speed Sash from B&W Outfiters, promote it to Energy Sash and then dismantle it when it gets to *. You'll gain an Ethersol and 6 Black Mycelium

Does your magic stat influence the effectiveness of synergist and saboteur spells?

Nope, but having a party of all SAB or all SYN gives you a major boost to the effectivness. Plus, weapon specific abilities, like Improved Debilitation from Belladona Wand, also gives you a better effectivness to SAB skills.

Must be why I got them so much then. I always 5/5d and I always have the rare item on when I needed them.

I don't understand people's luck with this game >_> I've probably killed over 20 Adamantoises and Adamantortoises and I've yet to see a Trapezahedron. I barely even get a frigging Platinum Ingot.

Increasing magic doesn't improve Saboteur spells?  That doesn't sound right...

The magic damage done by saboteur spells is negligible. My Vanille at 2.4K magic does 1200 a piece, while Fang at 1.5K does 800. Not much at this level.

Effectivness is directly linked to the Role Level for each Saboteur, not magic stat. Each role level adds a bonus multiplier to the effectivness, just like each role level on Ravager adds a bonus multiplier to the chain link effect.

hmm so its based on "luck" too

this won't be easy

But more than the omega weapon

I WANT THE DOUBLE CP THING

Did you get that yet? did spamming death work on the neochu?

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

The death trick is one of the shittiest methods EVER. But you need it until you get fangs Kains Lance.

Nope, he was taking too long to die. Eventually I just restarted and did the battle properly. It's a b**** though, especially when he summons 8 Microchus, by that time, either you have two SEN/SEN/COM to deal with the picochus, or your basically screwed. In my case, I got lucky, since I have the Gestalt Synthetized ability (Random: Instant Chain), which staggered him just before he got to 50% HP, when he summons the Microchus.

All hard battles boil down to accesory and Paradigm setup. For example, mission 62, the one where you gain the Genji Gloves, was a frigging torture first time I went there. Two Raktavija's, which are mega souped up Vetalla's, both with 2M HP and doing multicasts up to 2K per hit.

Eventually, I synthetized three Witch Bracelets * (Magic damage reduction 25%) and put Lightning as my leader. Then using SAB/SAB/MED, I imperiled and slowed the enemies, switched to Tri-Devastation, staggered one of them and then switched to Relentless Assault to murder each one individually. Lightning's Army of One is the best move you'll ever have to boost up Chain Links XD

It increases the chance of a spell to land though right?

Probably it does, but I have yet to see any difference, since pretty much my Vanille and Fang land debilitations with the same rate.
