Forums - General Discussion - The "Taco Bell" appreciation thread

I live in California, so I have no reason to ever eat that trash. In fact, where I live now, I can get some world-famous real burritos. The guys at other video game web sites blog about our burritos when they come to San Francisco to report on some video game news. Also, cancer.

To be fair, authentic mexican is about 5 times as expensive.

Where I live, we have a Taco Bell and a Mexican restaurant that serves authentic food right beside each other.

5 times as expensive?  Shit.  Well, now I can see the appeal where you live.

But the authentic food probably has over 5 times the nutrition, and no genetically modified ingredients.

Here in toronto they dont have meximelts on the menu anymore, but they willl still make them for you.

thats one of the million things that makes them better than mcdonalds.

mcdonalds wont make you breakfest 2 minutes before they are supposed to stop

go taco bell

Oh yeah, in Ohio mexican food is about as expensive as any other food... and really not that great.  At least compaired to Nevada.

There's something wrong with the cheese and they usually use ground beef anyway...  and avoid the picadegallo and vegetables at most places.

It's less real mexican food and more... higher class Taco Bell food.  At least the places I ate back in Ohio.

And yes, I live in Ohio.

Most of what we have where I live is anywhere from $6-$10 for an entree. The local Mexican restaurant, as great as it is, is impossible to dine at unless you pay $20 for two people. Having said that, they do have lunch specials, but theres no way I can get there for those.

Of course, we do have Chipotles which is a swankier Taco Bell. Nevertheless, I'd assume that the closer to the border, the better quality Mexican food you get.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Yeah, that's why I was backing you up, knew you live there.  Ohio isn't good for Mexican.

Great for Indian and Italian though.

I STILL can't find a good pizza out here.
