Forums - Website Topics - VGC 3.0 - can you come up with original website names?

VGChartz - the chartz/stats/graphs/tools (professional use, professional style, professional name)
The Gametrough - news (where you get your daily dose)
The Gametub - database and reviews (a big old tub of information)
The Gamehole - forums (aka The Pit)

or...

VGChartz
The Gamehub - hub for gaming news
The Gametub - game database and reviews
The Gamepub - community forums

I second these, particularly The Gametrough

Keep the ideas coming guys.

To explain a little more behind the idea - there are a lot of gamers out there at the moment who simply think "VGChartz - yeah they do the sales charts" and don't realise we have a team of reviewers or a game database or an active editorial team.

The idea is to give the non-charts sections a more general appeal. New users are more likely to come and read a blog called VGInformer than VGChartz News. It's a branding thing - I want the new sites to appeal to those who aren't interested in sales figures as well as those that are so they can grow and pick up fans on their own merit and the quality of our editorial team.

NeoGAFtotallysucks? VGOnDemand? GamesForTheBlind? Oooo VGztrahc!

Maybe there are other things we can improve, like community projects between members?

I prefer GamezCore, myself.

There must be a "z" in there!

Have you entertained the thought of maybe:

VGChartz
VGNewz
VGDatabase

I think each should have its own subset forum to discuss what each site pertains to quickly rather than needing multiple windows open to toggle between the community aspect and information aspect and easier for those of us focused on the different aspects.

I think the database could be an "information" page which would contain reviews, cheats, vids etc. If you want to see game info, go to the database, for industry news, the news page and for numbers, chartz.

For News - The VG Tribune

For games - The VG Festivus

For community - The VG Forum

I like the Ancient Roman themes :)

We will be able to use the same account for all four sites, right? And we'll be able to keep our VGC 2.0 accounts?

I can't think of names right now but could you make VGC 3.0 Mobile friendly? At the least the blog? I frequently access VGC via my iPhone and sometimes it crashes.
