I refuse to "pay-to-play" any single game... Including World of Warcraft.

I am willing to pay for a network (XBox Live, PSN, etc.)... Additional content is fine... But not a monthly subscription that forces me to play the same game over and over. I think that model is broken and if gamers buy into it there will only be a few development companies left in the end because people will not pay for anymore then a couple of monthly subscriptions to play games.

No I'll just try out MH3 and see how that goes.

I have no idea what the hell Monster Hunter is, but if they give me a 2 week free trial or something of that nature ill try it.

If it comes state side i definitely would like to get it! I'm thinking if someone already has a gold account in america it shouldn't be an issue, but it is usually japan that has to deal with fee or the pay to play thing. I haven't seen a console MH for america where it is pay to play...yet.

Waiting...waiting...waiting...waiting patiently for MH3 : p

Comes with a 30 day trial in Japan.  Also, paying the MH fee (about $15/month) also gives you free XBL Gold if you don't already have it.

It's never going to get a western PC release.  Sven already pretty much admitted that, saying the infrastructure costs couldn't be supported.  If it comes west, it'll likely be 360 only thanks to Live.
