Forums - Website Topics - Bioshock 2: Where's The Hype

It's because of ME2. I'm sorry, but if I had to bring one game to a desert island with me, it would be ME2 over bioshock 2, and I've been anticipating bioshock 2 for a looooong time.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... Because it's multiplatform. No one gets bragging rights for multiplatforms.

TBH I'm not overly excited myself. I recognise the tremendous quality of the original Biochok and the sequel will probably be just as good, but the linear gameplay puts me off.

This and i found Bioshock 1 to be boring as shit. Just like dead space.

It's not exclusive to anything so people ignore it.

I have been wanting this game for ages now since it was first announced so it is a day one buy for me on the PS3! Had it on pre-order since like July last year lol

A lot of people is hyped for Bioshock 2 but where's the hype you ask? Well they're probably too busy playing Mass Effect 2. Which doesn't mean no one will get it. I know i'm getting it 1st week.

Erm, your phrase only applies to 360/PC users. Bioshock 2 also comes out for the PS3. Let's not make this a 360 vs PS3 thread, we have enough of them already.

Well, if there's something i hate is those 360 vs PS3 wars, so don't worry, and well, since i don't have a ps3 ='( i don't know what game the ps3 crew is playing at the moment. But anyway my point stands, there's hype, it's just not so obvious cause most people is busy playing others games since this is an amazing beginning of year for VG's.

Ok man, I hate them too, they can ruin a perfectly good thread >_<. Yep, these next few months are going to be frantic for any VG fan, so many great games coming out, I don't know how will I keep up. I'm afraid my backlog of games will grow immensely, but Bioshock 2 is on my list for the really must buy and play ones.

I can't wait for the sequel to release. Bioshock is my favorite game this generation. I was originally disappointed when they delayed it until Feb 2010, but some extra development time will hopefully create a better final product.  I'm also curious on how the multiplayer will turn out.  Don't have to wait too much longer.

I think this game will be game of the year.

I wish developers understood its ok for your game not to have multiplayer, just make the campaign friggin amazing.

I agree with you. I'm so sick of developers always believing that a game can only be good if it has multiplayer. Personally, I care more about a game's single player campaign.

Capcom may have ruined the Resident Evil series when they gave RE5 a multiplayer component, and I don't have high expectations for Dead Space 2's multiplayer.

Add me to this. I don't know why is there so much MP craze going on this gen. Seems like that every game, in order to be trully succesful has to have MP tacked to it.

Due to this, very few games have had a really awesome SP experience. Heck, my favourite game this gen, Demon's Souls, is known for it's online capabilities, yet i've only played it SP, since it's the best way to play it. I don't really care much for MP, games can be just as fun in SP, as long as the developers make full use of the experience.
