Forums - General Discussion - IGN: Best Movies of 2000 - 2009

Coming from the guy who said "All Matrix movies were awesome. I don't see the difference between the three lol"

Yeah obviously you know what a good movie is.

Hotel Rwanda not making the top 10 in 2004 equals epic fail.

That's true except putting spider man on the top puts you on the latter category I'm afraid.

Not really ahah

Spider-Man is a masterpiece and a classic. And I congratulate IGN for realizing so. You're in minority if you think Spider-Man sucks.

Oh I like Spiderman well enough, but it's simply not as good a film as many released that year.  Fun, yes, well acted, yes, great J.J.?  Yes.  But still, in the end if was a popcorn flick with enough brains to be better than most that still managed to somewhat waste having Williem Defoe as The Green Goblin and which simply doesn't compare, IMHO, to superior cinematic fare like Sunshine of the Eternal Mind.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I'm guessing if IGN would make a top ten list of movies for the year 1993 Schindler's List wouldn't be on it neither since they failed to include the Pianist in their 2002 list and Hotel Rwanda in their 2004 list.

I don't understand the obsession with "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". I remember watching that and not understanding a single thing about what was going on. Of course, I was only twelve, but still.

I don't know you to even guess if I'm better than you or not but when it comes to taste in movies yes, I do regard myself having better taste than a guy who thinks Spider man and The Matrix Revolution "masterpieces".

I have never said that Revolution is a masterpiece (because I don't think it is) but it sure is awesome nonetheless.

Spider-Man is indeed a masterpiece and I don't need much of an explaination on that one. Just look at this: http://www.ign.com/decade/best-movies-2002.html

Your taste is not credible if you think Spider-Man sucks. Your way too critical. Enough said.
