Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Capcom: 'If you make a good game, people will buy it'

For the record, a lot of crap games make money on the Wii.

Why can't the medicore garbage from Capcom do the same? Someone go blog about that.

I'd imagine nearly everything from Capcom at least "made money" on Wii.  Except Spyborgs (lol).

"The answer is simply no. Thats all I need to say."

It's not. The thread is a statement, not a question. We need to know what specific thing you are saying that to.

I do not for a second think you care for why I would decided to say no.

You must be saying No to this:

We've heard from some folks at Capcom say that "hardcore" gamers have moved on from the Wii, or that there was never an consistent audience for "good" games on the console to begin with.

"At times, I believe that a one word answer is better than a multiple word answer. This would be one of those times."

It's not, because it's not a yes/no question. Duh.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I didn't doubt you liked it. I pointed out it sold well for being a niche genre.

Again with the "good games sell well", that is just not true.

The title: If you make a good game, people will buy it.

No is a logical response.

At least they manned up and took the blame for low sales.  Unlike... uh, about every other 3rd party on Wii who expected a niche game to sell like anything but a niche game.

I suppose you're right about it's sales considering that it's a niche game.  I was just pointing out that just because a game is good, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will generate huge sales.
