A new Wii that once again would flip our gaming habits upside down x)

I remember a while back before the unveling of the wii, before they even called it the revolution, People called it the Nintendo 5 or Ninten 5 either one.

I'd go with either Wii Too or Super Wii. Wii Plus sounds like an optional upgrade. Nintendo wants it to be mandatory!

I like the name that Bamboleo said

Twiist I like that wii stays in its name but its not all that noticable.

Bleh. They should drop the "Wii" name altogether. It has served its purpose. Simply adding "2" or "Super" is lazy, boring, and uncreative. They haven't done that since the SNES.

You may say, "but the Wii has amazing 'brand' recognition now!" However, remember that a big reason why Sony and Microsoft continue using the "Playstation" and "XBOX" brands is because those two companies have many other non-video game divisions... unlike Nintendo. Thus, ANYTHING "Nintendo" will instantly be recognized as pertaining to video games, which is not true with Nintendo's rivals (who must therefore differentiate in that respect).

The point is, Nintendo does not need to hang on to the "Wii" name to sell consoles next gen. If it's a good console, it will sell as well as the Wii regardless.

Actually the next Nintendo system would be the N6 which would actully work but harkens back too much to their third home console the N64.

Granted. Good point.

So this means that it could be named "Nintendo [anything]" then?

This really opens up a lot of possibilities..

Exactly. Which is why I am really excited to see what they come up with (assuming they drop "Wii," haha). Notice that "64," "Gamecube," and "Wii" are all quite different from one another, and that's why I like them; they give each unique system some character and personality.

Since I personally think the "Wii" is the "reincarnation" of the NES, why not "Super Wii". That will obviously be the "reincarnation" of "Super NES". Just my opinion though.

I agree that it won't contain 'Wii' at all. While Wii has been a great brand, they want people to realize it a new experience and thus rebuy regardless of their impressions on Wii.

Now that other games have pulled in a new market, they'll want to keep that while pushing into the core market Nintendo has lost over the years.

So, idk what it will be called. But, I'm sure I'll buy it.
