Avatar has reached over 2 billion!

Great news. The first multi-billion dollar grossing movie ever. Awesome stuff.

I wonder what the movie will get lifetime.. because its barely slowing down now. Are there any major countries that the film hasn't opened in yet?

Avatar opened in every major country. The last most recent country was Italy in mid-January.

Given the drops, it should wind up with around $3 billion.

It will surely hit 2.5 million. Maybe even 3 million lifetime. The small drop offs each weekend are really helping the film.

I did enjoy the movie, technology aside it wasn't anything profound, but I did see it twice. It's a fun movie I wouldn't call it best thing ever though. Usually the best movies imo are hidden gems.

Man i gotta leave my house for once too see this!
