I've been playing U2 since it came out and as much as enjoy this game, some things about multiplayer make it a frustrating experience to say the least.
- Give me a choice not a chance - I'd like to be able to pick the type of a game, map, and weapons allowed. The voting system makes me hate democracy. Maybe the level I want will be one of the selections and maybe majority will go for it.
- Matching system is erratic - a few day ago I had a match where my team had levels 9, 51, 51, 51, 52 and the opponents were 1, 1, 2, 3, 12. The score was 50-12, hardly an even match.
- Shotguns (and pistols) are disproportinately powerful. You can empty halh a clip into a guy with a shotgun and he's still twitching and all it takes to kill you one shot without aiming.
- Having M-32 in the map reduces the game to everyone rushing for it and whoever grabs it first has basically insured initial advantage. Not dropping it at the beginning of the game and randomizing the location would ake for a better game IMHO.
- Last but not least, penalties when the game freezes. No choice but to turn the console off, but then you're hit with 40k fine. Nice.
What do you think ?
