Only if they get Nolan North to do the voice in his generic everyman© style.

sample needed!

Fast forward to around the 2 minute mark.

^^ i thik it's too 'manly', Link isn't like that in my opinion

and i just kinda proved what I was talking about in my first post LOL :D everybody has a different preception of who Link is lol, fans would never agree!

I want to take your opinions on whether or not you would like Link to get a voice in the next Zelda game, or if you want him to stay a silent hero, AND WHY you'd prefer it that way.

I remember hearing a good idea one time, a guy proposed having voice acting for everyone in the game except Link, i happen to like that idea. If you've ever played Paper Mario, the game is also made the same way as Zelda, everyone in Paper Mario "speaks" except for Mario (it's actually text), i loved the way that game was handled :)

That way it makes things less odd for fans who are used to the character the way they are, and also so the personality and entity of the character doesn't change from how people preceive him.

*ALTHOUGH*, I DO remember hearing Samus' voice in the E309 trailer and was actually pretty nice, though i'll admit i haven't played much metroid compared to most fans of the series. i AM interested in Other M however :D

Dude I was complaining about the fact he doesnt have a voice and looks stupid on the thread about  Zelda Info leak. Did you stole this topic idea from my comments?

anyway heres what I posted in that thread:

I wonder about when Zelda creators will make a Link character thats not a Mute. In this day an age thats pathetic, theres only so many times when a gesture is an acceptable way to express oneself (unless you are deaf/mute using lenguage signs) really Nintendo there are things that you NEED to implement, not because of some stupid made up reason but because is something that is really jarring when is lacking from a great game.

Oh also stop trying to shoehorn OOT music/sound creation gameplay mechanic in all the following games. Innovate and provide something fresh and unique besides the use of Motion plus.

What is the point about Link's voice? That would be odd getting Link a voice.

I like to recognize good themes from OoT in TWP and hear them. And TWP soundtrack was pretty impressive and there weren't that much OoT themes.

So you like the fact that when Link is being informed about important and serious things and all he can do is say "AHH, OHH, HIAH" and in most cases Nod his head or Do nothing and stay motionless like if he doesn’t understand the magnitude of what is being said. Having a voice will help with this.

I wasn’t referring to the Music Per se, I was speaking about the gameplay mechanic of using a wolf howls to replicate some sound and have an ability unlocked which is a total rip-off of OOT flute, but is even older than OOT, it’s the same gameplay mechanic being reused endlessly and that  is a clear sign of a lack of gameplay innovation IMO.

They should give Zelda wii the MP3 treatment

where everyone talks except samus

No Link needs to keep his mouth shut expect when attacking...

Former something....

I voted YES but I misread it.

I mean NO.

But I do want voicework for the characters, but not for Link.

I'd be fine with voice acting in Zelda on two conditions

1. Link does not talk, ever, and I don't want to hear anything to the contrary

2. The spoken language in the rest of the cast has to be a nonsense language like Shadow of the Colossus or ICO.

in Other M, Samus speaks for the first time. What did you think when you heard that?

I like this idea

Castlevania Judgment FC:     1161 - 3389 - 1512

3DS Friend Code:   3480-2746-6289

Wii Friend Code: 4268-9719-1932-3069

I liked the way Okami was done, with characters talking jibbereish. was Shadow of the Colossus like that?

still... { full voice acting (for everyone but link) >> jibberish >>> just text }

if a developer wants to really give a "perfect" (reggie's words, not mine) impression for their game, i think they should include good voice acting in the game (again, for everyone but Link imo)

part of what i love about Tales is that the games usually have great voice acting :)
