I got 360 version and it runs like a dream. Ive always said PSN being free will create major problems.

Around the Network

I've been playing the PC version all night last night, and still playing it this morning and there have been no problems aside from the occasional lag spike etc but that's from my room mates using the net.

It looks like it is something with the PS3 version (at least with the online problems). The things with singleplayer aren't really new, like I've been saying since I've seen the first in-game videos of it and got to try the demo a couple of weeks ago,

Call of Duty 4 is literally COD2 with a better look.

Looks like the 360 version is the only choice here.

This has nothing to do with PSN and it being free, IW screwed up and its there fault.

The game is fun, its just lacking.  Ii'm over level 30 with 12 hours of onlie play.

I have the 360 version and am enjoying it online and offline... No lag issues for me online...   I agree that the game is essentially CoD 2 with improved AI, Graphics, and a modern vs. past setting.

Also, the grenading stuff from 100ft away, and shooting through walls, AI, and the redness is all a trait of this series that won't change. Turn down the difficulty level if you can't take it. Call of Duty 2 and 3 were the exact same way. Normal is fairly difficult, Hardened is very difficult, vetran is insane. I spent three 6 hour days getting through the Silo mission on CoD 2 vetran before I finished it... I got to the TV station on Vetran for CoD 4 and I ended up going back to Normal difficulty because I was dying almost as fast as I entered the big station room. Two hits your dead, and the AI is more then willing to inflict the 2 hits from almost anywhere.  You have to be great to do any of the CoD games on hardened or vetran...

The good news, your AI help is much better. in CoD 2 and 3 it was completely useless and never helped you in a jam.  Also, long range shooting has improved drastically...  I used to mark targets long range on 2 and 3 and they wouldn't die...  Step up 5ft and they would die with the same aimed shot...  CoD4...  If you mark and shoot you kill!

Well exlain while nearly evry gaming session at my mates house ends in "I cant be botherd with it anymore on most PS3 online games. Paying allows more resources to be dedicaed to smooth running.

Another PES 2008?

My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957

Also have the 360 version, and along with the BP Beta I took place in, I have yet to experience any problems in the final game. I'm still loving how much better it looks now over the beta, and the online is soooo addicting. I just wish I had more free time, I would be playing this game nonstop!!
