I dont think it will due very good cause ppl will wait(Save their money) for GOWIII

Plus its going to get overlooked by FFXIII

Totally different genre to both and market as well.  I expect it to do reasonably well although not mega big numbers....if it manages 1m-1.5m this year it will be doing really well...although it will take time to get to that level.

I for one, probably wont pick up FFXIII, but will get GOW and have fancied Heavy Rain for over a year now...and seeing as I can get the Special Edition in the UK for the same price as the normal edition....it's pushing me to spend my money on this game as it's out a good 3 weeks before GOW3.

I reckon alot of people will buy GOW3 for the PS3....but I don't think it will stop people buying HR as it's totally different...not like Dante's Inferno...which WILL lose out IMHO....although can see quite alot of tradeins with HR a week or two after release.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

I have renewed faith in the sales of this game. If VC can make it to 0.82+ then Heavy Rain can also at least get to a million.

Greatness Awaits

PSN:Forevercloud (looking for Soul Sacrifice Partners!!!)

IMHO, many people will cancel their preorders when they play the demo before the game releases.

This is my 2nd most anticipated game for 2010 (only behind GT5). However, if we look to how Fahrenheit performed, I don't expect great success. I haven't seen a single video in order to avoid spoilers, but my faith into this game is so strong that I'm buying Collector Edition day 1 with little to non knowledge about it. Fahrenheit was one of my top 3 games for the last generation, so my expectations are high.

But if we look to the average gamer... it has no online, no freedom for shooting, too much videos... It doesn't look like a good choice. Heavy Rain could end up being only a "must-rent" game, primarly if people realize it's not too long.

Just my 2 cents.

edit: typos ^^

I don't know exactly how it's going on over there, but here in Spain it's quite simple.

If you go and pre-order it, you get the Collector's Edition instead of the regular one for the same price. When the number of published Collector's Editions have been fulfilled by demanded pre-orders, following pre-orders will just get the regular version.

*[GAME franchise is following this process here, so I guess we could safely assume that it operates the same there in the UK (you don't know how I love that country man! ^^)]

Presumably while stocks last. HMV would certainly have paid SCEE to have exclusive rights to the Collector's Edition.

They might raise the price after launch, so if you're keen on it, I would pre-order now. And in fact, I already have.

It might debut at about 100k-200k, but I think it can reach 1 million due to legs.

LTD = 1M+

games never sell more in europe when its against the U.S.A?

Can't argue with that.  Also we have to consider the top selling games of that region maybe different for the next.
