Where is Mass Effect 2?
Splinter Cell Conviction?
Alan Wake?
Heavy Rain?

All these titles look better than your list IMO. Also we havent seen any Reach stuff apart from fuzzy 'leaked' shots. When it releases it will probably be one of if not the best engine around. 60+ enemies with better than Halo 3 graphics? Yes please.

Reach looks good, but given Bungie have never yet built an engine that was the best engine of the time I wouldn't take it as such a given.

Depends on criteria anyway, Alan Wake should be able to have amazing environments, etc. due to lack on on-screen activity (so far as I can see) and potentially the same could be said for Heavy Rain.

I do agree the whole post is a little strange, as I just don't see how you can compare games which are out with screenshots and custom made videos.  Until I see Alan Wake or Reach or GT5 or anything in action and check out its graphics I just can't make a sensible comparison.

Well Halo 1 was the best engine when it released on consoles. And Halo 2 was not topped for engine by another console game. (Remeber graphics + amount of onscreen action + Advanced AI + Coop )

Halo 3 is the most underated engine this gen. Not only does it have huge draw distance, but 60 + units onscreen from big scarabs to small foot soldiers. All the while being still the only game this gen on consoles to have 2 frame buffers. 1 for High range HDR and 1 for low range. Also it did all this with 4 player split screen coop.

Now I imagine Reach's new engine with all this to. Gonna be impressive in the thick of a fight.

PS3 is going to or already has the graphical edge, just to be clear its small enough in my mind not to matter

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

Xbox live:mywiferocks

halo reach wont even look better then gears 2 from what i have seen

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

What the heck is up with these choices? Anyway, Uncharted 2 takes it.

The in game graphics are final fantasy are not that steller only some of the movies are great it shouldn't even be a choice.

Now you know I don't just count console engines... but if I did... then maybe.  They're in with a shout anyway.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
