3. the first one sucked. a lot of people are not going to buy red steel 2 based off the 1st

7. red steel2 is nothing like red steel 1. if you actually like red steel 1 then red steel 2 for most people will be disappointing because you wanted a game like red steel 1

So if it looks like Red Steel 1 its gonna bomb. And if dosent then its gonna bomb.

Logic: its not for everybody

Neh.. He just meant Killzone 1 sucked so nobody bought Killzone 2... >_>

Ugh it's so frustrating.. They'd better not cut marketing for this game.. Why the hell do these companies purposely sabotage their Wii games?? Sometimes I feel like there is no sane 3rd party out there...

A cut in expectations does mean a cut in marketing, so yeah, it'll probably suffer. Not necessarily to DSE levels, though. This is at least a game people asked for.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Yeah, Assassin's Creed as a hack and slash would be more like what happened with Extraction.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Yeah, i know im asking for this game.

First person, guns+swords, pretty graphics, i cant see a single flaw.

In fact, im asking for ANY motion plus game that really uses it to do something at least close to 1-on-1 motion recognition.

I really hope Red Steel 2 sells through the roof mainly because it looks like something that really uses the strengths of the wiimote/nunchuck. It creates a new sub genre that combines the great IR control for shooting and the sweet motion plus action for swordfighting that allows one to use combos which switch between each style (First person shooter slasher?). They have spent over a year with a good team on it so it will be quality despite their low expectations.

I also hope this leads to other devs creating FPSS since I personally find the sword fighting (especially showdown mode) to be great in wii sports resort. Add in some shooting with the IR and its hard for it not to be fun. Maybe if this game sells well Ubi will make another but I doubt it. It is a shame though that no Wii owners ever buy these great games. I just hope somehow Red Steel 2 has some name recognition since its a revamped 'sequel' to a release game (albeit a bad one). It probably won't be on any store shelves though so tell everyone to buy online!

Local multiplayer would have been good.

Yeah, i know im a minority here, but i dont have anybody to play local multiplayer. All my friends are beer friends, not game friends. Over here this things just dont mix.

Yeah, just it seems to help some Wii games sell, including Red Steel 1.
