Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Just Dance is Ubi's fastest-selling Wii title. Sequels planned

Also on the note of sequels, while the general trend on the Wii is that they ain't built for success, it certainly worked for Ubisoft with the Rayman Rabids game. one of the few exceptions to the rule sure, but they've got the foundations to build on.

My worry is that it's different markets. RRR is aimed at the younger audience, who most likely will want the sequel every year. Let's Dance I'm not sure is the right crowd who'll buy a sequel, I think it's possible though.

Just Dance is not shovelware.

This is really a sad day when this game is selling so well that it actually justify a sequel.

No really redeeming factor in this game whatsoever.

if anything, it's just a testament of Wii's ignorant audiences today. Wii music failed its expectation, while this game hit one out of the ball park??? In what way is this game better than Wii music?

To me, this is a dark day for gaming,

Sequel comes simultaneously for wii - natal - ps3 gen. Together, all versions sell 1.2mil. Ubisoft blames the wii version for the bomb.

PS: DONT FORGET to hit Ubisoft´s forums and tell them what you really think about this "Wii is to blame" approach.

http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/6421073957

Please, just go there and say what you think. Is one of the few chances we have to actually speak to people inside the industry (yeap, developers actually check the forums and answer questions)

Western Developers have a serious problem, these games arnt suppose to be sequelized at this pace...its gonna bomb because everybody still enjoying the 1st

This may surpass Carnival Games as the worst best selling game ever. Congrats Ubisoft!

Okay Ubi you found a small gold mine, just dont dig too much or a rush; If you do, its going to to cave in and be catatrophic. Thats how you advertise the game. If only they gave the same kind of adv. to No More Heroes and Red Steel. Comon Ubi advertise you other games for f*cks sake; then now you wont blame the wii.

Ubisoft never said the market for this type of game was drying up on Wii - they said it was drying up on DS.

That said, the game is a dance simulator. If you like dancing, you are going to like the game. Don't like dancing, you won't. This is the type of game that should never score a 2.0 because if people are buying it is clearly fun in some way, and it isn't broken.
