Farfetched indeed. The only thing the games have in common are name, themes, and some staff.

How sharing the same name makes it far-fetched? |:

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

I'm expecting it to be ported. I don't plan on buying a PS3 for Versus. I'm already on back up with my other games. Also, I will just buy the new Mistwalker title as someone mentioned above me.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Most likely all PS3 fanboys will pick the upper choice so a poll like this doesn't work. I don't think this is Sony's plan but they can always hope to sell a few PS3 because of FF13 going multiplat. But honestly it would have been better for the PS3 if FF13 would have stayed exclusive, that would have really hurt the 360. The same kind of ''trick'' was supposedly played by MS when Ninja Gaiden 2 was exclusive to the 360 right after releasing NG1 on the PS3. We all know what happened so perhaps history wil repeat itself.

PS3 fanboys shouldn't be voting in the poll at all.

Nothing stopping people who have no business voting from voting of course, it would be nice to think people here are honourable. But, if there are any rabid fanboys on the site (surely not, this site doesn't have rabid fanboys) I can see them commiting some voter fraud on a poll like this.

Because they play nothing alike. At least the main FFs share gameplay. Versus has been compared more to Kingdom Hearts.

The pepole we are talking about, the ones that will buy a console for VS, won't be the pepole who enjoyed FF13 because of it's gameplay, buy because of the story.

They will buy PS3 for Versus because they will know that VS possesses a story of the same caliber, if not better.

No, people that care that much about story read books. Versus has a different plot that looks to be absurd when compared to even past FFs. Not to mention that gameplay completely factors in because it affects how the story is told.

If it was just a story thing, there wouldn't be such a difference in sales between FF and its spinoffs. They're all still telling a story.

I was saying this on the eu playstation forums when FF13 was announced multiplat and the reason why I said it was because its very odd to give a game to both consols and then release the second in the series exclusive to PS3 and also because Sony owns 8% i think of Shares in Square Enix.

Meh, agree to disagree.

Okay, so if they announced an FF13 exclusively for the Wii, would that be solely to lure all the people that played XIII and Versus to the Wii through the storyline? And what about Agito on PSP?
