No pre-orders numbers for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale :(

Not in Japan.

OK.

Still, I didn't expect it to chart high up there in Japan either. Especially right now.

My answer was in response to your second question.  I also do not expect it to chart.

I knew that. I was just stating my other opinion.

Cant believe that crappy DBZ game is going to sell that well

Thats why, COMG chart can only be used to measure hype, nothing more. However as I mentioned in some post above, MH4 won't do MH3rdP COMG points, nor FW sales.

Edit: Here are the points for the last day before Pokemon Black/White relase:

01. [NDS] Pokemon Black - 1821pt (-10)
02. [PSP] Monster Hunter Portable 3rd - 1759 pt (33)
03. [NDS] Pokemon White - 1584pt (-9)

Well hype and also its going to give an indication of how well its going to do eg if a game has thousands of points it will do many 100's thousands first week, or do you disagree?

btw you're combing the pokemon sales numbers, yet seperating the COMG points, either combine both or seperate both to give a better comparrison

3405 points 2,637,285

5024 points  2,146,467

All bow to me the VGChartz current reigning 3DS prediction champion

Bet with tbone51: Pokeon X & pokemon Y will not sell more than 8 million in 2013

July 2009 daveJ saidTrue the wii has a large lead now but by 2017 the most likely result will be 1. ps3 2. xbox360 3. wii <-- wii's successor launched in 2011 effectively killing sales of the wii

2009 daveJ said: The wii will not break the 50% marketshare barrier it will go below the 40% marketshare barrier though in the future. VGChartz members: Impossible, youre an idiot that knows nothing about sales

Well of course, it is implied that you have to add the numbers of both versions.

Now, which numbers are you using? As I wrote before Pokemon did 2609129 according to VGC, that's 766 units per point, and 2557779 according to Media Create that's 751 units per point.  As of MH, according to VGC it did 1972410 or 393 units per point, and using Media Create's numbers it's 1950717 or 388 units per point.

Using these two games I can't really prove that COMG tends to have more points to games released on Sony devices. That's something we've seen these years.

We can only measure hype, and based on previous iterations and similar games on the console we can do some educated guesses. And yes, if a game is pulling hundreds of points while others only manage to get 40~50, we should expect that that game is going to do significantly better than most games. But again, a lot of other things must also be taken into account.

Anything new? looks like nothing have changed since last time I checked.
